Our commitments

Our packaging

Today, nearly half of our products are refillable.*

*of the brand's total global assortment

Since La Rosée was founded in 2015, we have made the choice to eliminate outer packaging on our products in order to drastically reduce our waste. At the time, we were the only brand sold in French pharmacies without secondary packaging.

We work every day on the eco-design of our packaging, moving toward ever more bio-based and recycled materials, in order to reduce their impact on the planet throughout their life cycle.

This choice represents a real challenge: our products are more complex to develop and come with aesthetic constraints, which we are committed to overcoming.

We are constantly improving the recyclability of our products to make them ever more virtuous, through ongoing innovation.

Our bottles

Our plastic bottles are up to 100% recycled and recyclable (excluding the pump).*

Our glass bottles contain over a quarter of recycled glass and are recyclable.*

Our tubes

Our tubes contain plant-based plastic derived from sugarcane, or recycled plastic.

Our vegetable-based plastic offers the same protection, preservation, and recyclability properties as petroleum-based plastic.

Our stick formats

We made the innovative choice to use a solid stick format for our Masks and Eye Contour.

This approach helps to save water, limit preservatives, and ensure longer-lasting use than a conventional format.

Eliminating virgin fossil-based plastic

We have set ourselves the goal of reaching 0% virgin fossil-based plastic by 2030. Plastic is a very lightweight material, which is beneficial in terms of the product's weight and transport. We therefore choose 100% recycled plastic, or bio-based plastic made from sugar cane, whose environmental impact is lower than that of fossil-based plastic.

This goal of 0% virgin fossil-based plastic has been shared with all our packaging suppliers, so that they can get organized to help us, together, achieve our goal.

Our cardboard boxes

The cardboard boxes of our soap and refills are made of FSC-certified recycled cardboard, ensuring the legality of wood use, the absence of links to illegal deforestation, the sustainable management of forests, and the preservation of biodiversity.

The FSC label is the benchmark for the paper industry and sets strict requirements: only 5% of the world’s forests are FSC-certified.

Our refills

Refills are the natural extension of our commitments.

After creating the first refillable lip care product sold in French pharmacies, in 2023 we launched eco-refills for two of our best-sellers: our Cleansing Shower Oil and Ultra-Gentle Cleansing Gel.

We also designed and launched a refillable jar for our Body Scrub. As for our Deodorant, it became the first refillable stick deodorant available in French pharmacies - an innovation we voluntarily left royalty-free to encourage adoption by our competitors.
